BACKGROUND:NZ Natural is a power brand of Emerald Foods. They were looking to expand their ice-cream sales in China and wanted a lay of the land to asses market demand and suitable channels.
APPROACH:Our projects focused on identifying and developing new business and channels, interviewing key people from potential target channels and getting samples out there. The big question was whether there is a market in China for OEM ice-cream produced in New Zealand and sold directly to large chain retailers.
RESULT:The result of the research was a resounding YES and the engagement portion of this first phase led to 14 new leads from major high value chains across China.
