SOFT DATA
The name Tomacado is a portmanteau of avocado and tomato, which just happen to be owner Karen Kong’s favorite ingredients. Tired of the boring choices near to where she used to work, Kong decided to open a casual restaurant and florist so that the office workers could have somewhere to escape to on weekdays.
The menu is filled with healthy comfort food, and as the name may suggest, almost every dish features either tomato or avocado, or both. Highlights include the honey-baked pumpkin salad (RMB 58), osmanthus curry pork cartilage with rice (RMB 78), and herb-roasted san huang chicken (RMB 88 half/RMB 138 for a whole).
